A 4th weekly flight is already confirmed for the September - October period.

Maybe a good idea to place here the Egyptair Cargo plans.
Egyptair Cargo started a one weekly flight to BRU. From 1 March this will increase to 4 weekly flights operated by a A300F. At the high season for them (November, December, January) they will operate 15 weekly flights.
The flights in February and March are mentionned as a sort of test, if the evaluation is possitive Egyptair Cargo will move all his flights from Ostend to Brussels.

Re: Brucargo 2010: routes, news, cargocarriers.
Egyptair cargo will indeed move their ops to BRU.
Re: Brucargo 2010: routes, news, cargocarriers.
Quite a big upgrade for Eva... impressive
Regarding Egyptair, they were in MST, in OST, they got interested by LGG and now they settle in BRU.
One thing for sure is that they like the region but why do they move so much ?
Edit : they were in HHN too it seems.

Egypt Air didn't have regular ops in MST, just a few charter-flights.Acid-drop wrote:Regarding Egyptair, they were in MST, in OST, they got interested by LGG and now they settle in BRU.

Re: Brucargo 2010: routes, news, cargocarriers.
Fact is, Ostend is loosing its cargo traffic at supersonic speeds lately. Global Aviation, Meridian Airways and now its most faithful customer Egyptair Cargo. All in one month. Normally in the next months a decision should be made about the future operator of the airport but I get the impression somebody is trying to sabotage this or at least to leave a real mess. Shouldn't this be investigated? We're talking about Flemish tax money here.
Re: Brucargo 2010: routes, news, cargocarriers.
Filou, it would be nice to give a translation or summary in English: e.g. "Egyptair Cargo could operate up to 15 flights a week between Cairo and Brussels, replacing in part flights from Ostend to Cairo".

Vienna will be again in the cargo timetable during the summer. Eva Air Cargo is the one who is going to fly ex-Vie to Brussels and this 5 times a week and even on day 4 (as from September) two times a day.
Like I said earlier, aircraft will be their B744F.
Singapare Airlines Cargo is going to fly less from BRU to Sharjah and Singapore but is going to add Amsterdam to the timetable with one weekly cargo flight on day six and this ex-BRU to AMS.
Saudi Arabian Cargo is going to fly more ex-BRU to Riyadh and this on day 2, Jeddah on day 5 and 7 and Damman on day 7.
Roayl Air Maroc Cargo is going to increase their cargo flights to 6 flights a week.

Re: Brucargo 2010: routes, news, cargocarriers.
Isn't it just that vienna is a hop between the far east and BRU ? So half of the cargo is for Vienna and in the end BRU gets less instead of more ?Vienna will be again in the cargo timetable during the summer. Eva Air Cargo is the one who is going to fly ex-Vie to Brussels and this 5 times a week and even on day 4 (as from September) two times a day.

AMS ? just a ferry flight probably ? meaning it's a bad news ?Singapare Airlines Cargo is going to fly less from BRU to Sharjah and Singapore but is going to add Amsterdam to the timetable with one weekly cargo flight on day six and this ex-BRU to AMS.
For the rest it seems quite good news, and it's good that finally BRU is taking advantage of the increase cargo volume since 6 month. The january numbers were so bad that they is a lot of space for improvement.
Re: Brucargo 2010: routes, news, cargocarriers.
Vienna was always a stopover before they reached BRU. The arrived cargo is more then ok. Besides Eva Air Cargo upgraded from MD11 to all flights with B744F.Acid-drop wrote:Isn't it just that vienna is a hop between the far east and BRU ? About Singapore Airlines Cargo. Two European hubs is too much. They wants a single hub. See what happens.
Re: Brucargo 2010: routes, news, cargocarriers.
As you maybe know all the far east cargo carriers are flying a lot of destinations on one single route. Vienna will receive between 18 and 30 ton of cargo by each flight. On their return to Taipei, Eva Air is flying via BRU and DEL.Acid-drop wrote: Isn't it just that vienna is a hop between the far east and BRU ? Re: Brucargo 2010: routes, news, cargocarriers.
found this, by luck
US Airways Cargo will restart its daily online B757-P flights Brussel/BRU - Philadelphia/PHL as from 02 April 2010.
Re: Brucargo 2010: routes, news, cargocarriers.
That's just the pax flight that will restart, I think. Probably they also offer cargo space onboard their 757's.Acid-drop wrote:found this, by luckUS Airways Cargo will restart its daily online B757-P flights Brussel/BRU - Philadelphia/PHL as from 02 April 2010.
