president Museveni flies economy

Post by regi »

Quite interesting article about the Ugandan president who flew economy ( no airline indicated ) to the UK.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8401404.stm

There have been mixed reactions in Uganda to the news that President Yoweri Museveni flew economy class on a commercial airline over the weekend.

Now please NCB, please stay cool about narrow bodies to Africa. Please don't start dreaming flying Ryanair to Mombassa or Dakkar ;)

Wonder if there are also Y-seats in his modest Gulfstream G550

Dear Regi,

I don't know how old you are, but continuing to make fun of NCB is becoming pretty childish. Common, we're adults... I think...

This website does not believe he flew economy with B.A. http://www.ugandarecord.co.ug/index.php ... rticle=478

But if he did, what is so economical about flying a Gulfstream "empty" (on the way back) while he is in a B.A. plane?

It would not surprise me if this economical president will buy a new toy soon... a G650.
