OO-SFW is flying to ABJ-ROB as SN247 at this moment. he came back from C-check (later then expected) this morning.

OO-SFM left this morning for DUS.

Nice to know:

OO-SFM had a technical problem in cockpit yesterday (SN245 ABJ-ROB 6hrs delay). He left this morning at 11h for DUS.

OO-SFW came back from DUS and already had problems with electricity (SN247 ABJ-ROB 2hrs delay)

It will operate FNA-DKR-BRU on the 27th of March.
It will go back to FRA on the 28th of March in the morning.

D-AIGI will arrive at BRU at 1030l from FRA.

Over time, I wouldn't be surprised if Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa even set up their own handling company again at BRU.... If they get the business of all the Star alliance airlines, It could even be the biggest handler at the airport right from the start!

Andre, may I take that for a gentle political wink of the eye? "Wat we zelf doen doen we beter" was the slogan of a venerable Flemish politician (Mr Geens I should think...?) though we don't get to hear it very often these latter days, funny isn't it?

That said: outsourcing was the buzzword for the last few years, but is on its return now. I see lots of IT jobs and responsabilities being re-insourced these last weeks and months. And not before time, indeed.

Slightly off topic, but why not have it done by Lufthansa Technics now? I guess they already have the capabilities to do most of this maintenance.

The aim is said to be to increase the quality of the work and even more the punctuality of execution by having more hands-on control over the processes.

There's as well another reason, wich is, I think the famous "eigen volk eerst" syndrome....
