Medical emergency or technical emergency?
Medical emergency, indeed. The delay (over 4 hours) was more caused by problems after the landing in Moscow: administrative problems, de-icing and getting a new slot.
A Brussels Airlines Airbus A330-300, registration OO-SFN performing flight SN-359 from Kinshasa N'Djili (Democratic Republic of Congo) to Brussels (Belgium) with 125 passengers, had just about reached cruise flight, when the crew observed one of the engines exceeding vibration limits and shut the engine down. The airplane returned to Kinshasa, where the airplane landed safely about one hour after departure.
The flight was postponed to the next day and later cancelled.
The OO-SFN plane returned empty to Brussels on Saturday morning, after local repair in N'Djili with spare parts sent on another SN A330 on Friday.

This morning all four SN A330s arrived on time from Africa. Back to normal!
IB3197 BRU-MAD (A320 - EC-JFH) with 94 pax and 6 crew made an emergency landing in Bordeaux after loss of cabin pressure. 16 passengers were examined by medical services for mild ear pain.
OO-JAP which was supposed to fly BRU-PUC today, is now assigned to BRU-LTN (departure 16u00 local). Some technical problems? And as said in this topic, JAF 523 is now to be operated by CS-TFT.

Making this more than 24hrs delay... Not a good show for both tour-operators struggling with this difficult market segment.
Looks as an air trip above belgium for charity?
Anyone a reason of organisation?
Would have been nice to fly with! (still don't have an A319 on my list )

PS Can/May we assume of such a flight for *A membership?? ( with logo plane)
Some passengers told me that other passengers told them in Egypt that a flight from BRU to Sharm el Sjeik had to divert to Cairo yesterday (Sunday), to offload a sick passenger.
