In brief, Turkish Airlines reports 2016 net loss of US$77 million, revenues of $9.7 billion, and cash and cash equivalents of $1.4 billion.

Turkish Airlines will be operating 40 fewer aircraft by 2020 than previously intended due to fleet restructuring. Carrier is expected to operate 369 aircraft by 2020, with narrow-bodies taking the biggest hit.

Turkish Airlines chairman Ilker Ayci said the carrier will post a “moderate” increase in passenger numbers during 2017, and “from 2018 onwards, we will be seeing our historical growth rates”.

Shall we bet?
