Hello Atlantis, It must be scheduled flights as they are planning to open an office in Brussels too. If they were charters they wouldn't do that or get someone to represent them.

Ok thanks for this info. Good news to see that they are going to start scheduled flights to BRU and a nice alternative for the pax.

Continental has brought forward its 777 operation on the BRU EWR again from May 16th to April 20th (yes, next week !). Source = CO website.

There will be a 3 week gap in May (back to 767-400) due to maintenance onthe 777 I suppose.

It's strange that no body is speaking about the new control tower Brussels Airport is building on the main departure/arrival building next to the Diamand.

The constructor is Democo and the outside construction is almost finished. The building itself is a two storage construction and is not small at all.

The main purpose is parking control. They will take over the taxi and parking controls from the control tower at Steenokkerzeel. This tower will be needed when the future low cost terminal will be finised and Brucargo West - with a larger cargo tarmac - will be in use.

Total cost: 890.000 euro

Thanks for posting!
I was already wondering what they were constructing overthere. Although I suspected it would indeed be something like a ramp control tower, I couldn’t find any info (or didn’t search hard enough  ) about this construction.

Lufthansa Italia is suspending Brussels service between 28JUN09 to 31AUG09, mainly due to summer school break and lower business traveler demands.

Airlines usually are very prompt to announce new routes, by often forget to announce the routes they stop flying.

Air France has given up Clermont-Ferrand-Biarritz/Brussels earlier this spring already and will pull out of the Bordeaux-Brussels market on June 27. Did someone mention it already?

On another topic, Air Malta has added its KM code to Brussels Airlines services between Catania and Brussels. Why such a strange move?
