Air France cabin crew strike

Post by sn26567 »

Several unions called for a strike by flight attendants on Friday, 19 October 2007 as from Thursday morning, 25 October 2007 to Monday evening, 29 October 2007.

As negotiations have been unsuccessful so far, we are obliged to plan for disruptions to our flight schedule, and in particular to our short and medium-haul services (France and Europe). However 90% of these flights will be operating.

The entire long-haul flight schedule will be operating. More detailed information will be available on our website on Wednesday 24 October, and will be updated on a regular basis throughout the strike.

Air France sincerely regrets this situation and will do its utmost to fly its passenger to their destinations.

Since the end of June, the management and cabin crew unions have been negotiating a new long-term agreement to be implemented on 2 January 2008, replacing the one in effect since 1st January 2003.

A common decision has been unexpectedly taken by several unions to call a strike at very short notice on the basis of highly demanding claims, which is tantamount to an ultimatum. The unions refuse all attempts to find common ground in spite of the fact that the contract is due to be renewed in more than two months' time.

The management remains open to discussion with any of the parties calling the strike at their request.

And then people keep coming saying B.air has a serious problem with its pilots, its staff. Well it doesn't seem like B.air is the only airline having problems with its crews, so stop slapping B.air all the time!

And yesterday, there was a strike at TAP: pilots have scr.. up the departure and/or return flight from hundreds of passengers who were unaware of the strike. Reason for the strike: pension funds problems...

And stop writing about B. Air in every single topic. This is about Air France, so why are you coming again with B. Air... and between, it is not "slapping", it is reality.
