EY top management under internal investigation

Post by Aviation Patron »

Does anyone of you know if there is any truth behind the news that ETIHAD AIRWAYS Management of James Hogan (CEO) and Des Vertannes (EVP CARGO) are under investigation by the EY Board for suspicious cargo GSA contracts awarded recently?

As you might be aware ETIHAD under these two have recently switched GSA in US, GERMANY, UK, BELGIUM, CANADA, ITALY amongst other countries.

"Under investigation" and "suspicious" means that both men have done something illegal. Please come forward with more details, or otherwise remove/amend your post.

By mentionning at the same time that their GSA in Belgium has been changed recently, you are at least suggesting that this handling agent (A.) is also involved in this "suspucious" and/or illegal business. Please come forward with more details, or otherwise remove/amend your post.

As usual, you haven't read and/or understood my post. Aviation Patron hasn't "asked" something: he is insulting two people and a bona fide handling agent in Brussels.

Does anymone of you know if there is any truth behind the news that luchtzak-member Air Key West is involved in Colombian heroin smuggle with the ERJ-145 reg. CE-04 from the Belgian government? If you say this is just a question for more information, I agree with you.

Being under investigation does not mean you are guilty. Though what Hogan was guilty of however was driving Gulf Air in to the ground with some bonkers decisions. He has more money to mess around with at Etihad though so routes like Dublin have more time to develop than with GF....or more time to fail as there is more money available. Gulf Air is trying to pick up the pieces after Mr Hogans tenure now...though pullouts by certain countries haven't helped the situation there.

Yes James Hogan has made some questionable decision at GF, and same expected in EY. He has again surrounded himself by the same cronies who have failed so well at GF. Many capable managers have left EY with the influx of Hogan's cronies.

EY has had the most AOG of any airline in recent weeks. Maintainance quality has taken a severe nose dive under Hogan.

Gamco is doing maintenance and engineering for Etihad....

To put it mildly, GAMCO isn't the most efficient player in the region. There was talk of Lufthansa Tekniq being outsourced the engineering however Messr Hogan shot down the idea.
