If you read the rest of the press release you'll see this:
SkyEurope’s flights between Sofia and the rest 11 destinations will be operated via Vienna, which is the main hub of SkyEurope. SkyEurope is planning further growth on Bulgarian market with potential plan of new direct flights from Sofia and is even evaluating the possibilities to create its own base in Sofia.
So it's not a direct flight. And furthermore, looking at the schedules these indirect flights involves either a seven hour, or overnight layover in Vienna.
I don't think this can be considered to compensate for the loss of the routes to Krakow and Budapest.

luchtvaartnieuws.nl, referring to an article in the Austrian newspaper WirtschaftsBlatt, says that SkyEurope is selling two 737-700's who still have to be delivered. They hope to gain 10 mio euro cash with the transaction, which they need to get through the winter season.

Yes, if I had any shares in the company, I would be selling them now...LX-LGX wrote:luchtvaartnieuws.nl, referring to an article in the Austrian newspaper WirtschaftsBlatt, says that SkyEurope is selling two 737-700's who still have to be delivered.
