Cargo B Airlines first destinations

Post by Atlantis »

According to Cargo B, they are going to start commercial cargoflights mid-October and not mid-September as previously announced.

They will fly two times a week the route: Libreville - Kinshasa - Johannesburg - Nairobi.

In the same period they also start up the South-America route. They will also fly two times a week: Sao Paulo - Quito.

By that time they will receive the second B747-200.

In mean time they could do some ad-hoc flights.

I had taken too literally the first posting
They will fly two times a week the route: Libreville - Kinshasa - Johannesburg - Nairobi.
It is now stated more clearly to be "Brussels-Libreville-Kinshasa-Jo'burg-Nairobi" and I take it the plane will return from Nairobi to Brussels too. The "ex-" stands for "departing from".

Ex means "former".
And actually it is not an abbreviation  ... it's a preposition :)

Bye...

I would think that in this topic, 'ex' is used not as former but as from.

E.g.: My ex-girlfriend (former girlfriend) arrived in AMS with a flight ex-BRU (flight departing from Brussels).

Back on topic now I hope

Cargo B Airlines released their timetable on their own site. Quite impressive route, Africa, is you ask me. And I'm not talking about the destinations but about the duration of this whole route.

BTW: their IATA code is BB.

I don't know if this has posted before:

CARGO B IS NOW OPERATIONAL

After months of preparation and planning, Cargo B airlines has now received its AOC and Belgian authority permits and is now fully operational.

Niek van der Weide, Executive VP Sales and Marketing, states “This is great news as from today we can now start operating charters. The regular scheduled services to Libreville-Johannesburg and Nairobi will start mid October with two weekly flights from Brussels. The second B747f has been received by Cargo B Airlines and will be in Brussels in the next 2 weeks.

Cargo B Airlines in phase one, will service African markets followed later by South America. Thereafter the company will consider operating to other destinations. Brussels is an ideal operational cargo hub for both export and import, with efficient road and rail connections as well as global passenger and cargo flights network. Working closely with the airport authorities, handlers, international and local forwarders and other carriers, Cargo B Airlines will provide the much needed main deck capacity to satisfy the current market demand and at the same time, reinforce the role of Brussels Airport as one of the world’s leading trade and cargo centres.
