No, that's right haven't heard about that either. But they should be a fleet expansion for summer 2008, with 2 brand new 737-800 and the 737-500 from hapag -lloyd. Also heard rumours about a 757, but that one's just a rumour.

Alex

The -500 HLX is already at Brussels and should start flying by Monday (according to the latest news).

The -400 from Air Berlin will not be long either (was supposed to be for the 2nd half of April) and the new -800 should be there in July.

No 757.

Regards

Ok.

The 737-500 will fly with the OO-JAT registration?

Are all these planes to be used for expansion, or will some of the existing fleet be replaced?

Not as far as I know, but it is not easy to change when the plane is already belgian registered. So I guess it won't be the case.

I supposed they would have done it already for the -VAS/-VAC earlier as well then.

JAT: 500 (HLX) and JAM: 400 (Air Berlin) are already in BRU.
JAF: 800 will arive in August.
1 737-400 will disappear (goes to Jet4you)
2 B737-800 will arrive next year.

757 is on study right now.

Yes, TUM will be CN-RPA by the end of April but by the end of 2007, another 400 will go to jet4you, bringing their total aircraft to 3 737-400's.

Hey,

Just for your info regarding the JAF fleet expansion, the -500 ex Hapag lloyd Express was supossed to add the JAF fleet earlier this month, but due to a negative audit from BCAA earlier, BCAA does not accept to put another airplane on the Belgian register (OO) for JAF as long as things are not changing, meaning, technical, crewing etc...
This info comes from well informed sources inside the cy...

Both planes will be painted in the full JAF colors, but not before they are sure they can be put on the Belgian register, (OO).Far from being sure as BCAA refuses it,due lots of anomalities operationwise.

Hello

allwright , go for it JAF! :P Nice to see them growing. I'm also very pleased to hear that they will receive more of those nice 'winglets fitted' B738's :P.

A -500 in the fleet is also very nice to see I think :P

And I think the B757 is a very good idea for the less busy long-haul flights and the busy short- and medium haul destinations like Spain, Turkey and Morocco.

Best regards: Yannick ;)
