MEA instead of JAF ?

Post by spotter1102 »

Can soemone tell me why the Boeing 767-300ER of Jetairfly has been replaced by an A330-200 of MEA Middle East Airlines for the longhaul flights?

Thanks,

Mat

Probably 'cos the MEA 330 is available at the moment? I wouldn;t complain - I was on one last week from CDG to BEY and it is a very comfortable aircraft. Maybe the 767 has broken down, in for maintenance or something

The 763 is under maintenance (C-Check).

Broken up..hmm... ok, why not :?

MEA is flying it now because the contract with NovAir was just for a little over a month if I reckon correct.

That's negative. OO-TUC gets his C-Check elsewhere, but I don't know exactly where. Otherwise I would know it since I work at Brussels Airport Fire Dept.
I hope to travel to the Domenican Republic with the OO-TUC on May 14th.

The C-Check is done in France. I'm not sure about the airport/city but I think it's around Toulouse.

I would also like to know when it's gonna be back, can't wait to see it with the newest paint scheme "Jetairfly" instead of the old simple "Jetair" titles.

The OO-TUC is supposed to come back from its C-Check soon.
"First" flight is planned next Sunday (and indeed new Jetairfly titles).

It's good the plane is undergoing a C-check. I've flown the bird one week before it's C-check. Crew was very good and no delays, so no complaints for me. But the cabin condition wasn't very good. Lights that went on and off without any reason, the earphones didn't work in the whole economy cabin and the projection of the movies was terrible. It was completely out of focus, you couldn't hardly recognize things. But, for me it was far more important we had no delays and arrived safely.

TUC should be back to operate monday, or at the latest Tuesday.

B767-300ER OO-TUC is back in service and already had a delay of 6 hours this morning on his first flight to Punta Cana and will arrive also with 6 hours delay tuesdaymorning about 10u25. I wonder what the problems are this time.
