Connexus air? New Belgian Cargo Carrier?

Post by OO-VEX »

So far we have already 2 new Belgian Cargo carriers which are starting up there services, eg Silverfleet and Cargo B Airlines. But it seems there could be another one, called Connexus Air.

 http://connexusair.com/

Can someone confirm this is/will be a real cargo airline?
Based in LGG?
A fleet of DC-10 and B727 (in Africa, as a feeder)?

If you search in the history of Luchtzak you will find some posts about the "history" of Connexus Air.

Many, many delays to start up this freight carrier. But its not a Belgian carrier, its Indian although on the site you will find that it is a Belgian.

They want to fly between India and LGG, but they are not satisfy about this airport and its government.

Start up was normally end last year, then February 2007. We are now end of March. I don't know if they even have an IATA code???

Also strange in the way that they wanted to start up and serve the same destinations in Africa as Silverfleet. And that's the big contradiction: their site says flights between India and Belgium and on the site Air Cargo news they say they wanted to serve destinations in Africa.

I think that this airline is a lot of air.

I thought Liège airport was well managed. It seems that they can do a lot better. Sad for an airport that is already the 8th biggest and wanna grow.

If you know the name of the Chairman of Liege Airport, you know the reason...

This man is a complete disaster.

At TNT they are still drinking champagne after so many years as they really cannot believe how easy it was to get almost everything they wanted from the Walloon government. (= J.H.)

Liege Airport is a Jewel which is completely mismanaged.

Complete lack of management. And still N° 8 in Freight in Europe.

Imagine a good management.

God bless Wallonia.

Aeroports de Paris holds a 25% stake in LGG since 1999. I assume that at least these guys do have some expertise in the house.

All be reassured: it is not your knowledge of the man's name, but that man being its chairman that is the reason of .....
Otherwise the solution would be easy: just forget his name, now the solution would be to forget him....

Look at Liège Airport website.
Organizational chart.
Board of Directors.
Half of the Directors are politicians (mayor, chef de cabinet, JH, .. ) and 2 or 3 French guys, posted there to watch things collapse financially and then take it over from Walloon government for " an apple and an egg"

Poor Wallonia, Poor Belgium

Not sure ADP is a reference in the business. Take a look at their most recent disasters: Terminal 2E and the inter-terminal shuttle that both cost billions for nothing.
