The E-Jets are unbeatable. US is about to phase in 57 E-190s out of PHL and they'll make us a ton of money. I have yet to fly on a US E-190, but the B6 ones are wonderful. Frankly Airbus and Boeing shouldn't bother with the A318 or B736. The seats on these E-Jets are much wider than those we have on our 737s and with greater seat pitch. Customers love the heck out of them and who blames them 2+2 is much better for most than 3+3, especially on short flights.

Can't wait for FlyBe to get more E-195s. They look great, and I have only heard great reports of flights on the E-Jets. Would make great scense for airlines like Air France to sell their A318s and get E-Jets I think. They could operate them in combo with the E-190s being flown for one of their franchise operators.

Air France selling their A318's for E-jets :?
Don't know where you have been lately but that would be the last move ever.
Even KLM (Cityhopper) isn't opting for the E-jets since they are not fitting in their kind of operations.
So give me any hint why they would ever do that?
Expected economical frame hours from the E-jets is still lower then the A31X-A32X.
It all comes with the price I guess.

If you mean the Embraer 145, then there is a big difference between that aircraft and the E-jet. You can't compare them. :?

nope, an E-190. They haven't been delivered yet (2007 I think!) but Regional Airlines have ordered them.

I have no idea where you got this info from since KL/AF is just in the proces to investigate the possible candidates for the regional KL/AF carriers.
Believe me when I say they will not opt for the E-jets, Sukhoi RRJ is one of the types on their list!

I can remember seeing it on Embraer's website, though the closest I can get is here: http://www.embraer.com/english/content/ ... .asp?id=70
This mentions Regional as a customer for the E-170, and again here: http://www.embraer.com/english/content/ ... asp?id=334

I wonder when they will take delivery of it. The order might be canceled, too. Those are some old newsletters.

I am sure I've seen a picture of the first aircraft in Brasil, but anyway, on the site of Régional:
http://www.regional.com/data_f/compagnie/flotte.html
So what it sais is that they signed a contract for 6 EMB190 and delivery foreseen for autumn 2006.
EDIT: on their homepage there is a picture of the plane; http://www.regional.com/
and a picture from embraer; http://mediamanager.embraer.com.br/engl ... categorias
Convinced?
