Anyone have any info yet? They should be almost an hour into the presentation by now, of it indeed started at 11.30.

the conference stops at 1330 CET, but on news VTM and VRT they speak about it at 1300 CET
I think the logo is not to bad, but more important will be their strategy.

I think it's rather good. Whilst keeping the colorscheme (and their identity towards the customers as most people recognise airplanes by color), they do show they are leaving the "sabena"-era by getting rid of the S-tail. A positive advance if you ask me, a sign of progression.

And on the other hand, good for the spotters ... cause there are new paints out there !

Greetz,

I wouldn't be so sure about that.
- whole new tail
- bottom of the nose in light blue instead of white
- text "brussels airlines" is now above the windows instead of in the blue part, and has a new font (very similar to the old Sabena font. So in the end, all aircraft have to be totally repainted.

Not to mention the TV aircraft that need a thick layer of fresh paint to cover the bright red color.

Too bad they didn't give a darker color to the engines.

Sans doute se mêleront-ils; sans doute se mêlent-ils déjà.

What I saw is that some Sabena tail has been b-dotted.

That adds not to the happiness of Sabeniens on this anniversary.
Als dat maar goed afloopt, was the phrase an ex-Sabena colleague always said...
Will it be merger or fusion, the future will tell... to paraphrase Jacques Attali on: Une brève histoire de l'avenir.
"Sans doute se mêleront-ils; sans doute se mêlent-ils déjà."
Et comme toute prédiction sur l'avenir est d'abord un regard sur le présent, dont chacun pourra, j'espère, faire le meilleur usage au moment que s'annoncent tant d'échéances importantes

The a/c is very beautiful. The tail is really nice. I am happy the S has gone, No more reference to Sabena. That is progression...

Any further details?

So, the press conference should be finished and yet no news on the websites or their website for that matter. Any details on the plans regarding network and fleet?

It was like that on the Airbuses with SN Brussels as well.
and has a new font (very similar to the old Sabena font. So in the end, all aircraft have to be totally repainted.
Between now and the time the planes will need repainting they can easily use stickers. Hardly anyone will notice.
Not to mention the TV aircraft that need a thick layer of fresh paint to cover the bright red color.
You do realise they remove the old paint before they put on the new paint, right?

WoooooooW! So it's finally official? The NEW name for "SN Brussels Airlines" is "Brussels Airlines". Congrats to all the smart people that made such a great effort in comming up with the NEW name.
I love the NEW colors of the A319, but it seems that they have painted on the wrong tail logo ?!?!
Would it cost so much to paint the engines dark-blue?!?!
I think everybody will be real excited with the NEW name and the NEW colors.
I am verry happy that they dedicated an airline to the Brussels inhabitants, they really LOVE airplanes in Brussels. I sincerely hope that people who do not live in Brussels can fly the airline toooo, that would be great.
Good luck to the NEW airline ! ! ! No seriously I mean it, I am just disapponted that there are not so much NEW things. I hope the business plan will be new.
