Boeing and Airbus orders

Post by teddybAIR »

Since a lot is happening lately regarding the battle between Airbus and Boeing, I suggest we open up a topic to keep track of all incoming orders at Boeing and Airbus:

to start the topic off:

-9 b737-800's to be delivered from 2008 onwards, valued at $634.5 million( http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid= ... =australia )
- order for one b747-8 by an undisclosed customer ( http://www.bizjournals.com/wichita/stor ... aily1.html )

kind regards,
tom

I suggest someone should keep track of the entire list and update it regularly. I am volunteering and will try to stay on track with the list.
So as of 13/06/2006 (without any previous orders) :

Last updated : July 8th, 2006

Total firm orders : 164

Boeing (23 = 14%) :
-> 5 Boeing B737-700 for Sky Europe
-> 9 Boeing B737-800 for Virgin Blue,
-> 2 Boeing B747-400F for Nippon Cargo Airlines,
-> 6 Boeing B747-400ERF for Cathay pacific,
-> 1 Boeing B747-800 for an undisclosed customer (expected to be a VIP aircraft).

Airbus (141 = 86%) :
-> 24 Airbus A320 for Air China.
-> 30 Airbus A320 for China Eastern (mix of A319 and A320)
-> 50 Airbus A320 for China Southern
-> 31 Airbus A320 for TAM (15 A319's and 16 A320's)
-> 6 Airbus A330-200 for TAM

Greetz,

If it is VIP, i would love to see what the inside will look like. I wonder if Boeing has a mock-up of a potential VIP interior 747-8?

It's still just a Letter of Intent (LOI), no firm order yet ...
Boeing.com News Releases wrote:Boeing is delighted that Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced its intention to purchase 20 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, with first delivery anticipated in 2011.

This one just came in:

Air China ordered 24 A320's valued at $1.74bn and due to be delivered between 2007 and 2010. The purchase is part of a larger order for 150 airbusses announced on 5 Dec last year.

I like the way Boeing handles it, they simply list firm orders on their site.

That said, some firm orders are firmer than others, and you can bet that SIA is going to be signed.

Also, while not firm, options are an extremly important indicator of a programs down stream strength.

To really do any good, we need a good running list of

Firm orders.
Options:

total.

@ keen_watcher:

Your findings are confirmed by the following article of Gulfnews:

http://www.gulfnews.com/business/Aviation/10050198.html

Yet, it is merely a revision of an existing order for 20 A340-600's to an undiscosed number of A380's and A350's. An Emirates spokesperson also indicated that this does not mean that Emirates will not take delivery of the 20 346's. If you ask me, these will be delivered on a later date
