I'm actually fairly glad to see it go. I never liked that scheme, as I never liked moderen art.

Well actually, I liked the variation in the BA tails. I know a lot of people didn't...

At last I know why all BA tails are painted in Union Jack! :D But I liked the different c/s on the tails. The one I liked the most is "Waves of the City"; 2nd picture

I remember BA also had the 'Hong Kong' theme once upon a time (before 1997 of course) on some of its 744s, i have a 1:400 model of it and that looked awesome!

Off topic but the 2nd pic down on the Flight article, made me thought of the time when I was going on a DragonAir A330, before boarding there was a guy apparently putting sticky tape around the front cockpit windows! A month before that there were news that a DragonAir A330 had one of those windows broken in flight...

It really showed the 'internationality' of the airline. Myb favs were Rendezvous, Deftblue Dreaming and Chelsea Rose

But it just wasn't British. The new 'flag' livery looks classy and gives a strong brand identity.
