I was just browzing the schedules and noticed that TNT Airways are operating passenger charter flight from BRU
I noticed flight TAY711 (BRU-LXR) and according to BRU's website the flight will be with a B734, but TNT only operate the B733 varriant (I'm assuming they are the convertable type). Anyone know where that B734 came from? is it leased or owned? and are they planning to get more?

For the moment we fly our own Boeing 737 but we have also a contract with Islandflug for the charters. Islandflug is also our partner for freight.
For the moment we have one aircraft for charterflights but in a few months we receive a new Boeing 737 quick change. This airplane will be used for charters on daytime, then it flies to Liege for the quick change and at nighttime we used it for cargo. So we gona operate 2 aircraft for charterflights.

Islandsflug does not fly for TNT out of EBBR anymore.
TNT has now a contract with HOLA Airlines for the summer charter season

Hola Airlines has 3 B737-300s and 1 757
This one http://www.airliners.net/open.file/819191/M/
is a B733 and not a B734!
Hola Airlines has subleased EC-IOR past year to Olympic Airways and
if I'm correct EC-IOR is an ex TAP.

So this is becoming a pattern for holiday travel from BRU:
You book your package vacations with Jetair or VIP Selection and you might end up on a Futura plane iso TUI Airlines...
You book with Thomas Cook or Pegase and you could find yourself on board Martinair or EuroAtlantic iso their own planes or BelgiumExcel (RIP)...
You book with Club Med' and you might fly Hola or Islandsflug rather than the advertised TNT...
Am I the only one here to think this is wrong?

Certainly not. It is the same situation in France, by the way. That's why the EU (despite some people who want to vote NO to its constitution) wants to act and oblige tour operators to tell their customers with which airline they will actually be flying (except force majeure).vflies wrote:Am I the only one here to think this is wrong?

Re: TNT Airways Passenger Services From BRU
To get things straight: on 01/05 TNT operated 733 EC-IOR and OO-TNE. No sign of a 734, so possible a fault on BIACs site.airmemphis wrote:I was just browzing the schedules and noticed that TNT Airways are operating passenger charter flight from BRU
