British Airways flight #BA2551 (Airbus A320 reg. G-EUUA) from Malaga to London LHR is declaring an emergency and diverting to Bordeaux.

UPDATE: the plane resumed the flight to LHR, where it arrived at 22:20 instead of 20:40. Hence probably a medical diversion.

There was one longer diversion: Vistara flight UK25 from DEL to FRA made an unsuccessful attempt to land in FRA, and then diverted to ... London Heathrow!

It is not. LHR is the only other European airport (next to FRA) served by Vistara and they have the personnel to handle the situation when diversions occur.

You win hands down André, yours is longer than mine. The diversion I mean.

And on top they went in a hold for 25 minutes before deciding where to go next. I guess a call to the British station as you said : "Are you guys ready to take care of us?".

Good planning. remember the CFSF? Check Fuel Sufficient for Flight.

Now there was already a hint : the flight number ... ;)

TUI Fly's TB1011 BRU-AGP (Malaga) after reaching Pamplona, u-turned and diverted to Bordeaux. An hour later the plane was again on it's way to AGP, so most probably a medical diversion.

Suffered an engine problem, apparently. Sounds like a costly repair.

Looks like an A320 (OOSNL) has been dispatched to DUB to pick up (some of) the pax.
Seems like they will continue their journey to JFK via CDG.
