crew change Bilbao?

Post by ostair »

Hi,
Crew change today at Bilbao.
Very strange at this airport.
The crew at this A319 was friendly with a Dutch native speaking captain but the flight to and at BRU was very bumpy with nearly no wind.

Think that this time the very young first officer had his try.
Thank you

Why strange?
The evening BIO arrives at 2240 the aircraft departs the next morning at 0645, so the crew arriving at 2240 can’t operate at 640 the next day.
The crew which arrives at 2240 will leave BIO the next afternoon, hence your crew change,
The alternative is putting crews in the hotel for 2 nights. (Arriving day 1 at 2240 and departing day 3 at 640)

If there was no wind it must have been the old captain suffering from shaky hands.

Thanks for the info.

Was surprised to see that the 2 flights I was on were nearly fully booked.

So what? I have never flown high - have been at altitudes only, never yet at flight levels - but I do have known days with more or less wind and days with less or more turbulence, and no relation between the two. Not clear to me what you are missing.

Bumpy flight in spite of the absence of wind ? Perhaps due to thermal (columns) ?
Probably was ;)
To all others, a sense of humour is never a handicap.
