Wet flight

Post by liebensd »

Last week I had a strange experiance on a UA EMB145 domestic flight when shortly before take-off water started dripping from the roof panels inside the plane. The flight attendant hadn't seen this before, she contacted the pilot and he mentionend this was condensation water. Technicaly this could be, most presumably the pax on the flight before mine entered the plane with show on their shoes. The snow melted and evaporated, and condensated again.
Altrough the crew acted if it was a "normal" safe situation I had the idea that wasn't so. Water dripping from dripping from the top panels means water next or on electrical cableing and cabin lights.
Is this a "normal" situation?

Happened several times to me already, always had the same feedback: condensation.
