Alright I am new to this forum, my name is Reza Miljo and I am from The Netherlands. Airplanes are one of my many hobbies (others are trains, kitebuggy, climbing, etc.), I am probably not as fanatic as you guys but I do like airplanes haha.

Currently I have only one flight scheduled so far, but at least it's an interesting one. It's with the new Dreamliner from LOT:

It's only a one day stay in Warsaw but I booked it because I get to fly the new Dreamliner (and I know the representative in The Netherlands) and I never been in Warsaw.
I have always been more of a Boeing fan than Airbus. Probably because I have visited Everett factory some time ago. It's huge.
For other people who are interested in flying this new airplane, the new website paperflies will have a deal for the new dreamliner to WAW tomorrow (at least that's what I heared from LOT, I can't find it on the site).

Also for the fans, a site I really like which boasts good images and some nice videos is http://www.airteamimages.com. It's fairly unknown so I thought it might be interesting.

My next trip will probably be AMS - SYD, but that's because of the city and people I know there! Even though I also want to go to HNL, what would you recommend?

I prefer Airbus (except some classics Jumbo's Boeings) and will see you on LO233. hopefully without fuel leaks .

On the ebookers site the BRU-WAW-BRU is bookable for 104 euro. (two times B787). I paid 135 euro via LOT.com

On the site paperflies there is an error they said it's the AMS-WAW flight but the flightnumbers and times are from the BRU-WAW (dreamliner) flights.

Airtrainers booked flights were resheduled two days earlier, and no other flights available.. can happen with desastreus effects with low frequency routes by LCC ... fingers crossed..

Airtrainer,.. resheduling can happen and we'll see ..hope not ..if... but I booked in summer shedule and it's still winter so we'll see..
Did you get reimbursed the returnticket or could you put it on another day free of charge ???

It's the only possibility to fly the B717 nearby as Blue1 is domestic north from now on...

This is what happened indeed, I was supposed to fly LIL-NTE on AF and back with V7 on the same day. A few weeks before the flight, I got an email saying that my flight was retimed two days later "due to airport management reasons" (needless to say, my AF flight didn't change at all). In fact, the flight was just cancelled and my reservation transfered to the next available one. They offered to change my reservation but with the AF flight being non modifiable I had to rethink the whole daytrip from the beginning, so that was not an option. No compensation was offered as from their "conditions of carriage" Volotea will be released from any compensation whatsoever if it cancels its Flight with at least 2 weeks’ notice : great !
Oh yeah, they were also pleased to offer a 30€ discount on a new booking...but these 30€ are only applicable on base fares, not the discounted ones
So they might fly the 717, I don't think they will ever see me on board...


PS: 15€ fee for credit card payment (even for an one way !). Ryanair (who also offer refunds for a schedule change) looks like a full service airline in comparison
