777 flights in Europe

Post by Shanti »

Is there any chance to fly with a 777 in Europe? (european flights)
(from CDG to...., from AMS to....)
Many thanks!

Best bet would probably be a non-european airline which uses 5th freedom rights and flies a 777...?

Technically speaking Istanbul to Frankfurt or London is a european flight. Maybe they deploy them to these kind of mega-airports...

Singapore Airlines Munich-Manchester has some 5th freedom rights IIRC.

Maybe during the winter season UA or AA will deploy a 777 when they again fly a tag-on LHR-BRU. I flew them in FEB 2010. But I think, with global aviation recovering in recent months, that chance will be small.

Hi,

At what time would these flights be loaded in their shedules, winter is already out isn't it, and
there not in for the moment..
So I guess not again next winter..
( wanted to hop over also on united but was too late ..and nothing last winter ..)

Nice way to go to London, maybe an opportunity will raise again when BA receives their A380's..
for pilot training.. ;)

UA's BRU-LHR service on the 777 was a "slotkeeper" flight with a benefit that overnight in BRU was cheaper then in LHR. And since UA has 5th freedom rights they carried passengers on that route. AA did the same also (don't remember exact when).

Chances are slim that UA or AA will get another slotkeeper flight during the winter. If it was the case then the flights would probably have loaded allready and they haven't.

However... When the merger between UA en CO was announced the UA BRU-LHR route was again mentioned in the route network of the combined airlines. I guess they probably removed that in the mean time ;)

Ok, here we go.

SQ 328, daily, MUC-MAN 06:35 - 07:50 77W
SQ 327, daily, MAN-MUC 09:10 - 12:15 77W

PK 752 WE, OSL-CPH 16:10-17:40 772
PK 772 SA , CPH-OSL 17.40-19.00 77W

KE 926 TU TH SA , MAD-AMS 09:30-12:00 772

Besides the 777 there are some other wide-body flights within Europe. Think 340, etc.

AF sends its B77Ws to Nice, during the Monaco Grand Prix or the Cannes Festival. On summer the St denis Paris Orly is operated via Ajaccio and Bastia.
