Hello
Well. I hope so. But i don't think that there is a big chance up to.
Because , there isn't told anything about that they even think about
BRU. But it would be nice. Probably it will be airports as CDG,LHR/LGW
or FRA and maybe even AMS who will receive this extra Cargo.
Alto most of these airports has already a very big amount of
big international planes.
So it would be better to put them at BRU. It's a important Cargo hub (alto
maybe not for a long time anymore),and there is no concurrention on that
kind of routes...so.
But it all looks a little too much. I can't believe my ears the last time.
Iranair seeks to start at BRU , Ethidad wants to come to BRU , BEAP
startup , Ethiopean Cargo due to start at BRU...would be nice if it was all
true,...but that's exactly the problem i'm afraid.
Best regards: Yannick

Why not? Remember the line LIS-MFM had a stop in BRU because the A340 could not make it non-stop, particularly on the WB.SabenaForever wrote:... LIS-MFM is (GC) 11013 km, too much for a full cargo load....
On the other hand for cargo, a stop in the Gulf looks more faisible.

Hello
Well, ofcourse it could be , but you know...some airliners that come
at FRA/LHR/CDG,.....they come 2 or even more times a day in the same
airport instead of choosing a new destination, THAT's WHAT I REALLY HATE.. and actually that was what i tried to tell that they will probably first choose the bigger airports alto they might choose BRU because it's cheaper(?????).
But hey , ofcourse they already come at LIS and i hope it too that they add BRU.
By the way; I don't remember the LIS-MFM line , i was probably to little to know about it by than , or i wasn't good informed. What is MFM????
Best regards: Yannick

It culd be that they will fly to the airport nearest where their market is. e.g. No sense in offloading in Brussels to truck your freight to Paris when they could go direct to CDG, unless the hub there has capacity problems which might cause delays.
Perhaps it would be best to find out what cargo is to be carried before speculating, yet again, over whether Brussles will get a new operator whilst telling everyone how great a destination BRU is.
Concordino
ps WB = wide-body or west bound - please keep abbreviations to a minimum as it takes an old brain like mine ages to decode this stuff. If you are so busy as to not be able to type names in full ...........

The flight was a TAP-Air Macau flight stopping @ EBBR with traffic rights to MFM, flown in A340. and originating in LIS.
