I was surprised to see this at KJK.

Its following flight was briefly the most tracked flight on FR24 with over 600 people tracking.
Was there anything special about this flight?
Anyone happen to know why it was delayed?

The following flight was the positioning flight from KJK to BRU, the kind of flight that politicians and environmentalists don't like. It doesn't matter that it was delayed since there were no passengers on board.

The KJK inbound flight was a charter from Girona.

Please do not give untrue information on this forum. Only SOME politicians do not like these flights (mainly left wing Groen and Vooruit, which only represent 20% of the Flemish voters). Positioning flights cannot be avoided, unless these planes have to be based on the regional airports, or if all charter flights are concentrated at Brussels. That is what the environmentalists want, but that is not what the majority of the population and the economy/industry prefer. There are so many other ‘pollution’ factors which are far more impactful than the few positioning flights per year in Belgium. For example, tackle the emissions of cargo ships or cruise vessels. The same goes for the distorted comparison between train and plane. Try to get in 1 day to/from London or Berlin by high-speed train. And trains use electricity which will soon be generated by new GAS power stations which will emit even more CO2…., I give up trying to understand ‘the save the climate solutions’. I fully support actions which make sense (like banning plastic packing material), but I get frustrated by these ‘cheap’ green slogans… This forum should defend the airline industry, not copy/paste remarks from environmentalists,

The positioning flight to BRU was completely full.
People had the opportunity to fly KJK-BRU for €35.
This was also the reason for the delay. (security things)

Wow! Thanks for this clarification. It's the first time that I see a positioning flight full of passengers. Now, the flight number for KJK-BRU (TB9771) did not show a positioning flight: my bad!
