Preferrential runway system as from (I think) wednesday April 27, 2005.

All those anti-airport protest groups around the Airport of Zaventem have one advantage: they are always very well informed on the runway usage:

http://www.zonezes.be/zone-s/index.php? ... &Itemid=42

... and this information is confirmed by the following NOTAM (NOtice To AirMen):

A474/2005
From : 26/04/2005 00:01 Until : PERM
Text : REF AIP BELGIUM - G.D.LUXEMBOURG SECTION EBBR AD2.20 LOCAL TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PARA 7.2 PREFERENTIAL RUNWAY SYSTEM AMEND TABLE AS FOLLOWS: FOR THE PERIODS MON TIL TUE DURING NIGHT FROM 0200 TO 0459,WED TIL THU DURING NIGHT FROM 0200 TO 0459,FRI TIL SAT DURING NIGHT FROM 0200 TO 0459 READ TKOF ON RWY 07R/07L AND LDG ON RWY 20 (*). FOR THE PERIOD SAT TIL SUN DURING DAY TO READ FROM 0500 TO 1259 TKOF ON RWY 25R AND LDG ON RWY 25R/25L. FROM 1300 TO 2159 READ TKOF RWY 20 AND LANDING RWY 25R/25L.

This is the METAR for the moment : 14005KT CAVOK 18/08 Q1018 NOSIG
so if it stays like that it will be 25L maybe 25R when a lot of traffic.
Best regards,

Airbuske

My aunt and uncle are arriving today from Monastir with FQ, ETA 12:20
Anybody any idea which RWY will be in use?

My aunt just send me an sms, they are 6 hours delayed.
I see on www.biac.be that FQ1262 departs here 6 hours late.
Somebody any idea why?

Hi guys
I m going spotting on Thursday the first of September, it will be in the morning, I ll be there at about 8:30. And then we are going to eat at the airport. :D Could you tell me which runway will be in use, I want to make good pictures since my girlfriend's father is lending his digital camera with a big lens. I m really excited about it, since the weather will still be beautiful.
Thanks a lot
Laurent

Wind will be from South / South-West, so I guess 25L / 25R will be in use.

A bit late but today the "normal spread plan" was used: till 1400 25L landing & 25R t/o, 1400-1700 25R landing & 20 t/o, from 1700 on 25R t/o & 25L + 25R landing.
