But frankly: is there much use in communicating the sheer fact of runway use? That is readily available in the EBBR ATIS info, and probably elsewhere.
Interesting is (for me) to know backgrounds (like "this is the normal Saturday configuration"), i.e. to learn why a certain configuration is being used.

There should never be such a thing as a "normal Saturday configuration". The choice of a runway should be dictated only by the wind and the length of the runway. Full stop!

But when politics and Nimby attitudes meddle with a scientific process, you end up with unrealistic choices of runways which could ultimately result in accidents.
