I was wondering why the two Air Corsica A320neos with respective destinations Bastia and Ajaccio are heading Horth after take-off from Rwy 24, rather than flying South immediately? (Both planes are on the attached figure)

The first thing that comes to mind is the activation of military airspace south of the airfield (I think that’s Chievres area?).

You are right. I see the RYR flights to FAO and ACE (with my daughter onboard) as well turning Northwest before going South. There seems to be a no-fly zone which might indeed be Chièvres.

I'm sorry to spoil the fun :-) , but for Corsica the route via Luxemburg is the normal route, and the clockwise turn after T/O rwy 24 is normal with Florennes active. The Chievres restriction is way too low (2500ft) to have any impact on these flights and was even not active the 29th. The ACE and FAO flights on that day went the usual route via Chievres, if I'm not mistaken. In my opinion we must 'blame' the Tiger & Viper flights (F16's).

Indeed those are normal routes when Florennes is active. At EBCI they use SIDs « Y » when in use (via the north) and « U » when not active (via the south)
