According to Frederik Ureel, an Airbus A380 should be expected at Brussels Airport, with passengers from China...

It should be 9H-MIP, for Melsbroek. We should get more info by tomorrow.

It would be nice 25L.

If 25's are in use : I suppose aircraft will use the 25R because every passenger will be transported to Military Hospital in Neder-Over-Heembeek. Just a guess.....

9H-MIP to Brussels is not impossible, but it seems far from confirmed, knowing that
  • there are several inconsistencies between the currently available news items
  • several Hi Fly aircraft will be operating repatriation flights (including CS-TQY A343 that departed in BRU this morning and according to the Portugese website Publico also another aircraft departing from France today)
  • according to the AIP the military apron at Melsbroek and the taxiways connecting it to runway 07L/25R are not suitable for A388 aircraft
  • the minister mentioned that 'the passengers will come to Europe with a French aircraft', a statement open for interpretation.
In case of 9H-MIP it will be difficult to anticipate the landing runway without additional info. Unless they deviate from AIP the only possible parking positions are 233L (25L likely) and 951/954 (25R likely).

The arrival of the aircraft from Wuhan is expected on Sunday evening, 02/02/2020

First, the flight will land near Marseille, France.

I have my doubts about 9H-MIP making it to BRU. According to FR24, it's still in CDG now. Ferrying it to Wuhan, loading all passengers etc., flying back to BRU, I don't see all of that happening in 24 hours.
Other sources talk about an A320, quite a significant "downgrade".

CS-TQY is flying to Hanoi from Bru, I guess it will do like the A380 is planned, fuel stop in Hanoi, continue to Wuhan and then fly back.

EBMB is not suitable for the A380, don’t expect it to come to Brussels, since the pax in question will have to be offloaded at EBMB.
