Lufthansa Airbus A350-941 (D-AIXB) from Munich to Mexico has diverted to Brussels Airport, it landed around 1:20 am (UTC +1)

Don't forget a plane is not an elevator...
It needs distance to descend.
Agreed and anyhow, as the decision for RTB was taken while in UK airspace, it should have been a lift and not an elevator.
Not that I intend to start a nit-picker career but it gives me an excuse to crack that old one :

On top it is very to the point.
Most think that the company OTIS was named after Mr Otis, the inventor of the Safety Elevator, buy it is rumoured (internally) that the real meaning is :

Our
Trouble
Is
Schindler

:D
