What does the G in the flight number stand for? Positioning flight is usually ending with a P.tangolima wrote:Europe Airpost B737-300:

Around 10h30 I saw a white 4 holer (HiFly A340?) and a few hours later a C17, both on arrival.

I think the white A340 is CS-TQZ (Arrived in BRU 17/03 and is still here)
According to my info, around 4 C17''s visited BRU this morning to prepare the visit or Mr Obama.

I once asked the same question to some pilots of a Belgian carrier who often does this and they even didn't know.
I don't think this is a positioning flight, because the flight is also mentioned on the BIAC website.

Varies from airline to airline, every airlne has its own posistioning callsign. Alphanummeric callsigns are being used by the majority of airlines around the world.sn26567 wrote:What does the G in the flight number stand for? It's just a standard icao tactical callsign like for example BTI6C4 or FIN818N
