Thank you André for the forbidden picture ; this is for me by far my favourite airplane.
Re: BRU 06/02/2013: First Boeing 747-8 in BRU
If i remember correctly i saw a few months ago (and only once) a korean air 747-800 in BRU.
The reason i remember was that i saw a lot of new "yellow" people arround the a/c.

I'm afraid we'll have to correct Brussels Airport then.According to Brussels Airport this was the very first 747-8 at BRU
According to my information, the first B747-8 visited in Dec 2011 already.
N6067U was on a presentation flight to Frankfurt when it made a stop in Brussels.
I have a friend who was invited by Boeing to join them on the last leg BRU-FRA.
I remember it left Brussels pretty early in the morning and I think it was on Dec 6th.
I have asked confirmation of reg and date.
Cheers,
OO-JFP

That plane never landed in Brussels.
No recording of this flight in database, even no cancelled flight with 747-8.
And I'm sure I would remember... I hope

This was the first flight of a -8F at BRU. As of April, we will probably see more of them as SV is scheduling them on routes to BRU and FRA.

It was maybe a Korean B777F?

That would be hard to believe, no? Since there is a very big difference between a T7 with 2 engines without a bulge from the second deck and the 4 engined and bulged 747-8.quixoticguide wrote:It was maybe a Korean B777F?
But hey, mistakes happen, wright?

My friend flew on B747-8i N6067U from Brussels to Frankfurt in the late evening of Dec 5th 2011.
He came back by car from FRA in the early morning of Dec 6th 2011.
I can't find any trace of it in Acars logs but that's also the case when N6067U headed back to the US on Dec 9th.
I hope that your database is not based on Acars logs. The hex code is A7E0E9.
I admit that I have very little proof of the flight but I trust my friend more than any database in this case.
I can only add that the stop was not scheduled.

I could add a few more details but I prefer not to do this via this forum.
