OST 12/08/2009 Saudi 747

Post by Bruspotter »

Hello

Yesterday I went to the coast for a day. Since the weather was quite bad in the afternoon it wasn't time for a beachwalk (winds gusting up to more than 20knots :D ). So I went to EBOS and good for that because there was an Saudi Cargo B747-400 expected during daytime, and that's a really rare occasion over there.
Weather was: low clouds (1000ft or lower), cold, strong wind, light drizzle & some rain sometimes. So don't expect quality shots but I'm sharing them anyway.
Despite the poor weather, I'm very happy I took the risk and that I saw the TF-AMI there. :P

Ost is used when it's possible thet cannot make the curfew in BRU. Note a 747-400 can land after 23h00, but no take-off before 07h00 (in BRU that is).

Nice pics. What's a good location at OST to spot aircraft? Cheers.

If you have a car ( or even a bike ) just do the tour of the airport, trying to stay as close to the fences as possible...
Best places I found were taking very small streets ( but feasable with a normal car ;) ), bringing you to the other
side of the runway compared to the airport buildings, and best is to leave the airport building to the East and then
make the tour.
