BRU 18/10/2007

Post by FANFLYER »

Goodmorning,

Got a message from colleague telling me that CO "Peter Max" was again at BRU. He was able to take pictures of it and will sent them to me as for him, planespotting is not his cup of tea but photography in general.

Strange nobody mentioned this lovely bird earlier.

Also, the Cargo B 747 diverted to Ostend last night and it will now ferry to BRU, leaving Ostend at 1430 (that's the plan). Go get it!

Hi everyone !

I've seen a B747 of Saudi Arabian above Brussels, leaving around 13:10LT. Does anyone know the registration ?

Many thanks & good afternoon.

This is not a strange diversion. Because Cargo B acquired a -200 it will be diverted a lot because it may not operate at BRU during the night. If they had acquired a -400, they would't have this problem...

A Qatar Airways A332 landed on 25R a bit after 18:00.

After vacating the runway the pilot apparently got confused (or something) about how to proceed to his parking position. He ended up doing a 360/540 degrees on the taxiways in front of DHL. :?

I assume he finally ended up at Abelag.

Why those 2 nice visits?
And why do we always hear of it afterwards?

Goodevening,

I am not throwing a stone to you, Rutger and everybody else but this is already a second similar remark on short notice.

Might be frustrating for some but don't forget that not all the information can be given from insiders. I am already satisfied that we have some infos from time to time and I thank the "insiders" for this.

Movements destined for General Aviation are sometimes known, sometimes not.
That's life.

I check these things when I've time. If I can post it before it comes in you're lucky, otherwise you've just bad luck! I'm not going to spend all my time in searching what's expected.

Karl & Godfather,

I understand your point of view, but it is quite frustrating when you read that there were some nice movements during the day which you did not know. Especialy when you're home a full day and bored because the brussels airport site does not show something interesting.

Anyway, is there an etd know for the Qatar? Parked at abelag if I understood it well?

Rutger,

you don't know how lucky you are to have access to all the information we hear. When I was a student (this is not more than 10y ago), I would receive Scramble at the end of the month and I would read that this or that machine had been at the GA for 4 days - there is no chance that we would have known unless we visited the airport ourselves. Even mobile phones didn't exist, and most student homes didn't have a phone. There were a few people 'in the know', but even getting to know these people would take ages - in 2007 you just log on to luchtzak and talk to them.

A lot of these special flights arrive without or with short notice, so be happy with what you know, and when you know something, share it as well. (Since I don't live close to BRU anymore I often want to know whether a specific aircraft is in a good position, and this info is often not given by the people who post the movements.) Again, I am thankful for knowing that this and that machine is there, even though I don't get all the info I would need.

Note that the people who have acces to such info are there for their JOB and not only their HOBBY

Hi all,

A320 OE-LBU of Austrian in Euro 2008 special livery visited on the late evening flight from VIE. It was the first visit of this a/c wearing special c/s. It left again the following day after a nightstop.

Regards, Robin Bamps.
