Post by rut-her »

Hello,

This morning a beauty came in at 10:41
USAF Boeing VC-135A Stratotanker, reg 57-2589

I suppose it is parked at abelag at this moment, somebody to confirm this?

I will post my pic later this day

Rutger

It was there at 1200 when I saw it. Parked in the usual USAF parking bay.

Here are 2 pics of the landing:

I have lots of other pics of today, but I have no time to edit them, so I will try to upload them next week.

I also noticed that on every SNBA plane that hasn't been repainted yet, the 'SN' is removed and replaced by a dotted 'b', except the 2 remaining A319's, they fly with 'Brussels Airlines' titles, but still with the SNBA c/s

Thanks for the pics Rutger!

Anyone got an ETD for this bird?

Can I ask you where you took these pictures? I know a place where you can get this kind of shots, but you need a step to get over the fence...

That's a Rwy 02 arrival, if you go right of the runway fence, you arrive at a little bubble where you can peek over the fence and take nice shots...

Now, the VC-135E, Is it still parked at abelag? I want to drive over there today...

At 16.45 hrs the Speckled Trout was still parked at Abelag. According to "XM717" she would remain "photographable" till dusk this evening.
No-one with an ETD for this bird yet?

Take the 'Zeven Tommen' a small pedestrian road between Zaventem and nossegem, and follow the airport fence. You arrive at a place where you have a nice view of the RWY02 treshold. Indeed I used a small step to take pictures without an annoying fence on the bottom of each pic.

Goodafternoon,
Very unlucky moment for me.
Was stucked behind a garbage van and lost precious time.
Saw it taking off but to late to grab my camera.
Luckily I met a spotter who will normally forward a picture to me.
Luckily I was on time to spot the Uzbekistan 767.

For the ones that missed the "Trout", the same ole KC tanker returned on afternoon of March 30. Needless to ask an etd, the Americans don't like this at all.
