ANR 26/10/2006 An74
Hello, I just heard from a local that an An-74 (or -72) was expected at Antwerp at 2100 tonight. No registration/company/departure time known. Anyone?
and here is a picture

Hi
Was there from 9AM until 13h , but no movement at all around the Antonov , so I left without having a clu that it would actually leave Saturday , thought is was cancelled. Maybe I was a total fool not checking the ASA (Aviation Society of Antwerp) site , you might find anything about these planes there. Next time I have to do because I really felt bad about missing it.

Best regards: Yannick

Yannick, I also checked the ASA site, but they don't seem to have any such info on their site (not even a forum!?), that's why in a previous post I asked the local people to use the Luchtzak forum to post useful information, whenever someone has something.
BTW that's exactly what I did when I started this thread, but I'm not a "local", and I certainly don't normally know what's going on in Antwerpen.
Anyway I decided to wait (from 10 till 16) and was rewarded with this taxi shot:

Hi Yannick and Michael,
I was also standing at the fence both at 10AM and -luckily- 4PM.
Thanks to your posting and info I could catch this interesting visitor on my CCD.
Although not an ANR local I pass the airfield sometimes, since this is not so far from where I live.
Hope the "insiders" can from time to time give us a tip about other interesting visitors.
Anyway iff I ever would know a juicy ANR-item I surely try to post it over here.
Nice pic Michael, with the condensation swirls going to the engine !
Below is one of mine, others can be found at http://jansaircraft.fotopic.net.
Greetz,
Jan
