Re: The www.luchtzak.be update and downtime topic

we are currently redirecting to the new server, this procedure might take up to 48 hours but in general this is not that long.
It all depend the TTL of the dns entry, you may be able to tweak that settings before the migration.
I'm on the new one already, TTL seems to be 4h.

But there is another prob, we are redirected to http://31.193.177.82/~luchtzak/
the cookie for authentication will fail

I am now able to browse on the url again: www.luchtzak.be and not the IP adress (from France)

but apparently in Belgium this is still not the case, please be patient ;-)

Everything should start to work fine again, if not, just mention it here in this topic.

Due to some maintenance and updates (serverhard- and software), there are some downtimes today.

I hope these won't take too long :)

Thanks for understanding.

A hardware-upgrade will be performed on June 12th, around 6am. If all, and I don't expect any trouble, goes well, there will a downtime of about 5 minutes.

Thanks for understanding :)

Serverupgrade is finished. After the anounced RAM-upgrade I decided to do last-minute Hard Drive upgrade.

Server is good to go for another few years (I hope)

As some of you probably have noticed, luchtzak.be was hard to reach the last hours.

Due to a DDOS-attack on the server, I had to shut down some services untill all was over. On some moments, serverload was over 500 where 4.0 is actually 100%.

Let's hope adjustments I've made help and the attacks are over.

Thanks for understanding

IP-ranges from China, Canada, Taiwan and Jemen ... but that means nothing, they can be 'spoofed'
