Working on www.luchtzak.be version 3.0

Post by luchtzak »

Been a long time that I did some major works on the website, lack of time is the main reason! I apologise for this but I do hope you all understand ;-)

www.phpbb.com has launched its new forum a few months ago, it's still in beta release and I am waiting for a stable version to change to the new forum.

The portal of www.luchtzak.be is not up-to-date and has given server errors in the last weeks, I have spoken to a very knowledgeable webmaster and if he agrees he will start programming very soon.

Important is that members have to login again to submit news, the spotters database will also have a major revamp!

More info very soon! If you like to give your opinion feel free to do so ;-)

Does this mean that names will once again appear on the news items?
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

Bart there is something funny about the clocks and marked times. Your above message is showing here with a timestamp of 4:33 pm, yet my own PC (set to UTC as all aviator's watches should be) shows 14:47

Then you should check your profile UTC+1 then summer time in effect no, can you check again? I am trying to figure this out, perhaps I can make a general guideline for every luchtzak-member.

That was it, for some bizarre reason my time zone setting had shifted too: it had become UTC + 2 which I cannot imagine having set myself. Daylight saving was not active, and that's as it should be. (Bah! Daylight saving time!! Curses!!!)
BTW this is not in the "user profile", but rather in the "board preferences".

Again, Bart, all praise for your efforts!
