Message from Jaguarpc.com, changing servers

Post by luchtzak »

Received the following e-mail from Texas, where our server is located:
We are working to move all our servers over to a new faster network. We have a new server for you ready on the new network and we are ready to help you migrate your accounts/data over to it from your old server. Unfortunately this does mean your IP addresses will change. We can help mitigate problems with that by using IP redirection.

There will be no major downtime as we can setup traffic redirection from the old server while dns propagates. We have a time limit of 2 weeks to complete this migration.

Expecting no major downtime, however if the website is down don't worry. It will be back up and running very soon ;-)

I will keep you posted when the server change has been performed.

To my regret a few messages posted in the forums yesterday between 16.00 and 18.00 have not come with us to the new server, I hope this doesn't cause too much harm and that not much messages are affected.

I could have locked the forums yesterday for messages being posted but I had family related things to do yesterday afternoon. My appologies once again...
