Forum BBCode: To quote and/or to unquote, that's the question

Post by luchtzak »

What is BBCode?

BBCode is a special implementation of HTML, offering great formatting control on particular objects in a post. The use of BBCode is granted by the administrator, but it can also be disabled on a per post basis from the posting form. BBCode itself is similar in style to HTML, but tags are enclosed in square brackets [ and ] rather than < and >. For more information on BBCode see the guide which can be accessed from the posting page. Or here: app.php/help/bbcode

Recently I have noticed some problems with the [quote.] and the [/quote.]-tags. May I remind you that whenever you feel like quoting a text you follow this small guide:

- each [quote.] before the text-to-quote must be ended with [/quote.], e.g.:

[quote.]text, text, text[/quote.]

(note: don't put the dots in between the brackets, it's just to make the example)
text, text, text
- another example is this,

[quote.]text text text AAA [quote.] text text text BBB [/quote.] [/quote.]

(note: don't put the dots in between the brackets, it's just to make the example)
text text text AAA
text text text BBB
If you would like to add the author of the quote you can use this code:

[quote.="luchtzak"]text, text, text[/quote.]

(note: don't put the dots in between the brackets, it's just to make the example)

If you feel like quoting a message from another member you can press the Image-button next to the member's message. But please remove all the unnecessary text like: hello, bye bye, etc....

When your message is not correct, you can always use the edit-button.
