I have a lot of Herpa models (about 50) but unfortunately they are more and more difficult to find in Belgium. I used to go to Brussels and Ostende but all the shops closed, this is such a shame. I wish we had a aviation shop like the one I went to in Toronto, soooooo great but my wallet did not like it

There still is one (order only) in Aalst, but pretty much expensive or, a lot easier and cheaper also via the internet, 'aviation centre Berlin' and/or 'aviation megastore' in Rotterdam (the latter can be reached in about 2h drive from Flanders).

I started to collect SCHABAK in later 90's (scale 1/600)
Now continue with HERPA (scale 1/500)

But I love the finest details of Herpa 1/400, unfortunately the price is also highly detailed.

Well, next time I'll compare prices between Gemini & Herpa, I'll be surprised perhaps!
Cos I didn't compare yet

now herpa. But i also have some Wooster and Hogan. Also have a lot of self-made Revell kits. I would prefer Hogan for there quality, but since they are 1/200 i dont have enough room to place any more of them ;)

I also collect Herpa. I bought the A380 a few weeks ago in Paris with a price of 40 EUR!
btw: there is also a shop in Hasselt where you can buy Herpa but they don't have alot. Maybe 15 aircraft.

I used to go for the Schabak ones, but the company has been bought by another German company and it seems production has been stopped

For the die-cast models, I usually go with Herpa or Gemini. For snap-together, I mostly buy Sky Marks or Flight Miniatures.

Does anyone collect Dickie-Schuco? They have taken over Schabak, so I'm wondering if they make good models.

Their new catalogue will only be out in September. The complete line of Schabak will be redesigned and initially Schuco Aviation will focus on 1/600 scale models
