The Defense is selling twenty-five Alpha-Jet training aircraft,
aircraft based in France but will only be available from December 2019,
military sources said Tuesday (16oct2018) .

The deadline to participate in this contract,
which covers 25 aircraft, various equipment
- including engines - technical documentation and a simulator,
is scheduled for November 7,
says a notice published by the Directorate General of Material Resources (DG -MR) of the Defense Staff.

These small jets - 33 copies were acquired in 1973 -
entered service in the years 1978-1980 and
are nearing the end of their life despite the mid-life modernization
they have undergone since the year 2000. .
According to military sources,
the Alpha-Jet will remain one year in Cazaux,
used by the French Air Force time to settle the accounts of AJETS.

The devices will then be sold by the Defense, possibly in batches, says the opinion of the DG-MR.

They will be available from December 2019.
