Amay: A person falls from an army helicopter

Published on Sunday 03 September 2017 at 13h06 - Updated Sunday 03 September 2017 at 14h22

The crew member fell in the middle of a flight, at a baptism of air.

It is a drama at least unpublished that was played, Sunday in the early afternoon. It was 12:42, when the pilot or co-pilot of an army helicopter fell from the aircraft in flight.

The helicopter was busy allowing civilians to baptize the air as part of the Open House at Amay's 4th Genie.

The alarm was immediately given and the police went to look for the unfortunate. A police helicopter was also sent to the scene. Moreover, as it is possible that the unfortunate fell in the Meuse, divers of the firemen also left on the spot.

All this research is currently in vain.

Back in 2007 a Dutch army Air Mobile Brigade sergeant was not separated/cut-off from a Dutch Navy Westland Lynx helicopter in time.
He was dragged to his death...
