TOKYO — The Defense Agency has decided to install additional antimissile equipment on the C-130 military transport planes to be dispatched to Iraq to assist in the country's reconstruction, agency officials said Saturday.
Although the Japanese government has not made a formal decision on sending the aircraft and personnel to Iraq, the agency decided on its own to better prepare the planes for possible missile and other terrorist attacks, the officials said. (Kyodo News)
