2 vs 3 pilots on Long haul!!!

Post by Jacobcullen » 15 Mar 2019, 10:10

Hi

Checking out videos on YouTube, I see Swiss uses 2 pilots on a 10 hour flight to Miami from Zurich, whereas air France uses 3 from wuhan to Paris.

Are 2 pilots on long hail common?

Thankshttps://solitaire.onl/ 9apps.ooo/ https://bluestacks.vip/

Yes, it's quite common.
Cockpit crew composition depend on many factors, such as:

- Flight duration (of course)
- Number of sectors
- Time of departure
- Additional restrictions (on top of EASA duty limitations) within the airline
- ...

But the YouTube video might not have shown you a third pilot resting in the cabin!
