Problems with Thomas Cook's leased B757 today?

Post by SN1203 »

A Privilege Style B752 was noted above Ghent this afternoon at 4.500ft with its landing gear & gear doors out (registration EC-HDS).

After taking off from BRU, the plane flew at low altitude towards Ghent, turned back to Brussels, made a little circuit and performed an overshoot above runway 02 (presumably for visual inspection of the gear) before making a safe landing.

Does anybody know what was going on? Presumably linked to hydraulics and/or a gear issue?

Landing gear issue, I was actually just on the tarmac when it aborted the first landing climbing very steep with alot of noise! hln.be posted an article about it too.

Had to laugh when reading the article this morning:
- fueldump on a 757
- above the Zoniënwoud (in the approach path of BRU's RWY 02)
- "schepen van x van gemeente x" was on board, if you're "schepen", you're aviation expert?
