Indeed, I noticed that there might be some incorrect flights showing up, but still, a nice piece of software aint it.

Hey guys,

Nice link.

Difficult to say which is the most updated and best. (Casper live tracking or this Radar Virtuel.
I have the impression both have their positive and negative sites.

On Casper, i see the planes really moving forward, but on Radar Virtuel, i can click on the plane and gets all necessary info, destination, origin, reg etc...

I think radar Visuel is not updated as Casper, and takes a bit more time.

Could that be correct or is it my cmop. which is a bit slow for this. (doubt it).

I think Casper mentions only the Schipol related aircraft, or am I wrong?

Hello,

At capser you can also see planes from CDG ( Air France,JAL,ANA) or other airports. If aircrafts took off from BRU you can see them if they go to England,Ireland en USA then they show up near the Belgian Coast Line.

Wow, this http://www.radarvirtuel.com site is really nice too, especially as it gives more flights over BE and more details per flight than Casper.
Only disadvantage in my opinion is that, compared to Casper, the information is slightly delayed : what I did is open both sites togehter and check from one site to the other specific airplane movements : radarvirtuel is always behind. I think they only get information of each plane once every few minutes, and still then, it is behind. But combine the two and you have the best of both worlds ! And in the meantime, we can continue dreaming of a site with ALL flights over BE in real-time !

Maybe an idea for a Christmas gift ;)

Casper now also applies a 15-minute delay on its data. Too bad.

There is a 3rd one , http://www.flightradar24.com/ But I guess it uses the same engine as Radarvirtuel.com

Casper has a new url: casperflights.com.
They have recently added Maastricht (http://casperflights.com/ehbk/)which also covers part of Belgium. Just this week they also launched two new locations in Germany namely Hannover(http://casperflights.com/eddv/) and Dusseldorf (http://casperflights.com/eddl/). According to their site Berlin and more cities to follow!

Nice toy !
At this moment I see 4 airplanes trailing eachother over the north sea, mostly towards LHR. Except the last one, who flies from FRA to HAM...
Can somebody call that pilot and say he is a bit out of course :)

Also nice, living in Bruges, I know now who makes that noise above my head sometimes.
2 Air Canada planes are trailing eachother, who's first ?

I added it to my favorites. Thank you.

There is a lot of errors regarding the flight routings.

A good move is that the runways and aircraft are more visible at night. 8-)

Since a few days Casper doesn't show historical data more than two hours old anymore, unless you register and pay a membership fee.
Doe anybody know a site where it is possible to get historical flight data ?

On http://www.flightradar24.com you can view historical flights for last 15 days. Just press the "live" button in upper right corner and select time/date.

In case anyone missed it, there is a Layar layer available with Casper data. If you point your smartphone in the direction of a plane passing over, it tells you what it is. At least, that is the theory :)
