Flying Air France or Martinair to Miami?!

Post by SabenaForever »

Hi everybody,

I'm going to Miami from 16 to 19 december, a little vacation with work!! The one thing I Know is that where flying Air France (Paris-Miami) or Martinair (Amstersam-Miami), it all depends on the choice of the Vacation bureau! I think Air France is the best, or is martinair not so bad?! I hope I will fly that Jumbo with Air France... Can somebody tell me the good of bad things of the both airlines?

thanks

I flew Martinair twice on that route. Nothing bad about it. Good service, nice meals, no delays. However i would advise you to book asap cause they are sold out very fast!

Air France (flag carrier) is better than Martinair (scheduled Charter)

I haven't flown on AF nor Martinair, but from what I know, AF has somewhat higher prices but better service. It depends if you want quality or cheap tickets. I would ask your travel agent and visit www.airlinemeals.net to check out their meals.

Check the prices of both airlines... if AF is not (much) more expensive then Martinair, i would defenitely choose AF. And u will fly the AF B747-400 instead of the B767 Martinair uses. And if im right, AF has also got individual IFE in the seats!

I think also that Air France is better, a flag carrier is most of the time better dan a scheduld carrier!!!

You mean charter carrier. Air France is a scheduled carrier.
But you're right. Scheduled carrier s are almost always better in service then charters, unless off course it's a VIP charter.

Compare Martinair : http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/displayim ... =198&pos=0
and AF:

Hi everybody,

Wel it would be Martinair! I'am little dissapointing, because i think Air France would be much better service... I think I will miss the personnel screens with Air France.. Or has Martinair personnel screens to on some of is 767's?

Martinair doesnt have build-in IFE in the chairs, but in comfort class they have for free a personal portable digiplayer.
