worlds most under-construction airport

Post by heathrow »

I went to the airport at lunch, and I realised, I've never seen YYZ not under construction. What airport would you nominate for this award?

There is always something going on at AMS. Mostly indoor nowadays though. Then again the whole city is always busy with construction, seems only to have gotten more busy in recent years. Since airports are like small cities, it's to be expected that there is always something being built somewhere.

LHR, terminal 5 construction is progressing quickly and the new terminal building is nearly finished.

They now need to finish building a tunnel for the new underground stop as well as taxiways and gates. Terminal 2 will then be completely remodelled and I can honeslty see Terminal 4 being revamped to in the coming years.

Lot's of building jobs and activity at LHR for the years to come.

T2 'remodelled' ? I suppose you could describe completely demolishing something as 'remodelling' it

Every major airport I have visited seems to be a permanent construction site, even Brussels!

LHR-Terminal 4 need updating, and I think it will be once BA have vacated it for T5.
As Captin said, T2 will be replaced. I think that it always has and always will have some building work.
