Here are a 2 pictures that I love ...

the beast and the fokker:
http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0952615/L

and the beauty of Scotland:
http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0911600/L

There both mine ... And to others they might not be the best,
but to me they are ... And I think that's the case for all spotters around the world, that they like their pictures!

Regards Tim

I remember when I was on a connecting flight from LHR to Dublin and I saw, more like heard, a Concorde takeoff. What a beauty!!! I'd love to fly her if she were still flying for the airlines!! Oh, and the 777 is considered vintage??

Apparently the 777 landing gear is farther forward than most pilots are used to. When I was at the AA Flight Academy, they had posters telling 777 pilots not to over-flare the landing to make a softer touchdown because of the risk of tail strikes. Rotating is the same, they had specific limits set and if you pull back too much to quickly, that picture is the result.

Same goes for the A340-600, the pilot's manual says that flare must be avoided because of the risk of tail strikes.

Dear Avro,

You really do need to get out more. Just start to surf the photo sites and you may find the odd British photographer!!! Some are actually quite good!
